It all started as a challenge between brothers Alex and Zach after purchasing their 1st 6 string and Bass guitars in 2015. Who could out-do, out-learn, or out-play the other? Sibling rivalry at it’s best.

The rivalry paid off and less than a year later they attended a week long rock music camp where they played a couple of covers in a one-off gig live, on stage, under the big lights. The crowd, the rush, the intensity of it all! They were hooked!

Later that summer, Alex and Zach ran into Ike, a friend from childhood that they hadn't seen in years and shortly after met their distant cousin Cade at a family reunion. That winter was spent practicing and learning covers and in the spring 2017, after playing their 1st live gig as a band...

AZIC - established 2K17!

AZIC is a young rock/metal band, not only in terms of being a band but also the age of it’s members. Most of 2017-2018 was spent practicing and doing a few private parties. Late 2018, the Northern Michigan bar scene opened it’s doors with welcoming arms and that made the Summer of 2019, a summer of non-stop weekend gigs. 2019 AZIC aquired a fan base, the recognition and support of many in the local music scene and after landing a gig at 2019’s Northern Michigan MetalFest, the support of the Metal scene as well.

After one hell of a year in 2019, 2020 was going to be one of moving up and expanding the reach and fan base, until Covid hit. Covid derailed everything and put a huge halt to the entire music industry as well as... life for everyone as it was known before Covid.

But for AZIC, 2020 wasn’t a lost year completely. They finished and released their 1st E.P. “Totality” in August and were even able to release it at and outdoor venue for MetalFest VI!

Summer 2021 kept them to the Northern Michigan area as venues and events slowly reopened. They started the summer off strong playing for the First Annual Mackinaw Rally on the Straits in June. The Motorcycle Rally drew thousands of bikers from all across the Country.

2023 AZIC decided they were going to bring rock music back to summers in their hometown with the Rivertown Rocks music festival. Local bands playing their asses off for 6 hours... it was a HUGE success! 

Currently, they are working on more originals for a follow up to their E.P.
